Jake Schierbeek

Jake joined Breneman Advisors in 2026 as a Vice President, bringing over 14 years of experience across public accounting, executive finance leadership, sell-side transaction execution, and post-transaction integration. A CPA and a graduate of Northwood University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, Jake has developed a strong foundation in financial reporting, operational analysis, and transaction support. Throughout his career, he has built a reputation for combining strong technical accounting knowledge with practical, business-oriented decision-making.
Prior to Breneman Advisors, Jake spent over 11 years in public accounting providing audit and attestation services, supporting clients with financial statement reporting, internal controls, and operational insight. He later moved into industry with a manufacturing firm, where he quickly advanced into the CFO role and held a minority ownership stake. Jake oversaw financial planning and analysis, forecasting, and performance reporting, while supporting the organization through a period of significant growth leading up to the sale. He helped lead the company through a successful sale to a publicly traded acquirer on the Swedish stock exchange and subsequently directed post-transaction financial and IT integration initiatives, helping align reporting, systems, and processes to support long-term value creation.
